Preventive Treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease

The Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida will host on the 30th of November at 1 pm Eastern a live webinar featuring three international experts in the field of Alzheimer’s disease. Topics will include:

1. How genetic and other factors can determine when amyloid protein is deposited in the brain, resulting in symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease many years later.
2. Why effective treatment of Alzheimer’s disease may need to begin very early, well before symptoms are present.
3. How new treatment trials, which will begin in 2013, are being designed for the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease.

The presentations will be followed by panel discussion along with an ample Q&A session. While the Forum is intended for the public, the symposium may be of special interest to individuals who have reason to believe that they are at an elevated risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease, have some memory-related concerns or are family members or close friends of such individuals. The event is open to and free for all.Review details and register at http://www.mcisymposium.org/webinar/
